trevor baumgartner: My mentor June Jordan once wrote that a person "can spend your best energies forever writing letters to the New York Times. But you know, in your gut, that writing back is not the same as fighting back." I live by her words, here and elsewhere. Though I think it's curious to start a blog with her statement in mind, I do believe in the relationship between words and actions. So, "hushpoint" is my attempt to streamline my own words and actions for the sake of having a just space in this world.
